Jacqui gave a marvellous talk at the 5th Birthday of Paradise Clinic, we had 13 people at the talk and every one really enjoyed hearing about how she makes the balms and the knowledge that she has about aromatherapy. VSA carers enjoy Hand Reflexology with Dr Melanie Jones PhD

At a VSA Aberdeenshire Carers Week event, Dr Melanie Jones (PhD) of Paradise Clinic, Kemnay  provided reflexology sessions to 10 carers and also helped out with beautiful pamper packs containing freshly made BSkincare Lemon Barrier Cream and Lip Rescue and OrganicaJ comfrey ointment all for Carers.

Carer’s comments included:

“What a lovely treat”

“Great to have someone look after me for a little while”

It is important that carers take time out for themselves and relaxing, complementary therapies are a great way to do this.

VSA will look forward to working with Melanie, with regard to looking at ways carers can access more treatments and also to discuss Carer Training in using complementary therapies to help themselves relax and help treat their own ailments." Dr Melanie Jones PhD with awards for Paradise Clinic Kemnay Aberdeenshire

Dr Melanie Jones (PhD) of Paradise Clinic, Kemnay, Aberdeenshire supports Sue Ryder Care, Aberdeen. 

[Ambassador of the Year ~Business Brains Awards 4 Sue Ryder Care] Melanie has been fundraising since 2008 for the neurological centre at Deeside Court, Kincorth, Aberdeen. Melanie raised over £3000 under a campaign called Handson4 Sue Ryder Care Aberdeen. Each employee received 10 minutes of Hand Reflexology in return for a donation to Sue Ryder Care Aberdeen. The donation was paid by the employer or doubled by the employer ~ Melanie gave her time free!

Melanie was awarded Ambassador of the Year ~ Business Brains for her fundraising efforts.

At the Federation of Small Business Conference in Aberdeen, Melanie was invited to "man" the marketplace offering Hand Reflexology sessions to conference delegates in exchange for a donation to Sue Ryder Care Aberdeen.

The First Minister at the time was able to enjoy a brief Hand Reflexology session prior to his address to the conference!
