Hand Reflexology

Hand Reflexology
Hand Reflexology with Dr Melanie Jones PhD Paradise Clinic Kemnay Aberdeenshire

It is estimated that 30% of the population does not like having their feet touched! For a Hand Reflexologist this is no problem. Simply come along for an hour of Reflexology on the hands alone. Combined with Relaxation and Reflex Massage this is truly a positive pampering experience. Shorter sessions are available on request especially for gift vouchers and taster sessions.

On request Melanie is happy to work on the feet through the socks as long as the socks are smooth material.

Melanie as an Original Ingham Method Reflexologist is trained that a full reflexology session is working both Hands and Feet in the same session. However for some people the hands is all they require.

You start the session with a relaxing hand scrub and then rest sitting horizontally into heated cushions. The Hand Reflexology allows a deep state of relaxation to be reached. The reflexes are massaged with your choice or beeswax balm or cream with essential oils.

Hand Reflexology is still an unusual therapy, a particular speciality at Paradise Clinic and is used during every reflexology treatment.

The hands charts of Ingham Method Reflexology represent a mini-map of the entire body.

Hands are easier for you to work yourself than the feet and therefore are of great benefit for self-help.

Working the hand reflexes may potentially for example: induce deep relaxation, revitalise your energy, balance your emotions and help the body systems.

You are encouraged to work your own hand reflexes once you are confident and have had sufficient practice.

Over the years Melanie has had interesting results with clients who suffer from painful conditions including Arthritis/Dupuytren's contracture in the hands, feet and the rest of the body. Reflexology combined with balms containing Comfrey Oil are also an option and can be purchased in Our Shop

If you have a medically diagnosed hand condition for example Arthritis, Dupuytren's contracture, Trigger Thumb or Finger or Tendonitis you are welcome to try this treatment and assess the results for yourself.

In Hand Reflexology we use a spiky ball called an Optimal Reflex Ball which you can buy to give yourself a mini relaxing treatment. Help yourself to Better Health with Hand Reflexology!

Research shows that reflexology reduces days off sick in the workplace. Melanie can come into your office and provide taster sessions of Hand Reflexology for a number of staff on the same day.  Hand Reflexology is particularly suited to the corporate environment for stress management and work-related upper limb disorders such as computer mouse usage  resulting in tennis or golfers elbow and carpal tunnel. Longer treatments can be booked privately at Paradise Clinic. For more information on corporate treatment visits please click here.

Hand reflexology may reduce stress, aid rehabilitation and make you more comfortable at work. Hand reflexology involves working only the hands.

Reflexology sessions can be short and easily fitted into your work schedule. The benefits to those employees that work on computer keyboards all day are felt immediately and we teach some useful self-help techniques to extend the benefits of the reflexology treatment.
