VSA Aberdeenshire Carers Week
At a VSA Aberdeenshire Carers Week event, Dr Melanie Jones (PhD) of Paradise Clinic, Kemnay provided reflexology sessions to 10 carers and also helped out with beautiful pamper packs containing freshly made BSkincare Lemon Barrier Cream and Lip Rescue and OrganicaJ comfrey ointment all for Carers.
Carer’s comments included:

It is important that carers take time out for themselves and relaxing, complementary therapies are a great way to do this.

Jacqui gave a marvellous talk at the Birthday of Paradise Clinic, we had 13 people at the talk and every one really enjoyed hearing about how she makes the balms and the knowledge that she has about aromatherapy.
Melanie was awarded Ambassador of the Year ~ Business Brains for her fundraising efforts.
Ambassador of the Year ~Business Brains Awards 4 Sue Ryder Care. Melanie has been fundraising since 2008 for the neurological centre at Deeside Court, Kincorth, Aberdeen. Melanie raised over £3000 under a campaign called Handson4 Sue Ryder Care Aberdeen. Each employee received 10 minutes of Hand Reflexology in return for a donation to Sue Ryder Care Aberdeen. The donation was paid by the employer or doubled by the employer ~ Melanie gave her time free!
